How threading hair removal began
Threading originated around 6,000 years ago in the regions of India and Persia, where women used it for special occasions. It soon spread to Arab countries and became the most widely used hair removal technique because it is effective, precise and has no contraindications. The method is remarkably simple: a thin cotton thread is looped between the fingers like a spiral, then passed quickly over the area being treated to catch the hair at the root and pull it out from the follicle. Perfect for eyebrows, threading is also used on the upper lip and the rest of the face.
