How threading hair removal was born

Threading originated about 6,000 years ago in the regions of India and Persia, where women used it for special occasions. It soon spread to Arab countries and became the most popular hair removal technique because it is effective, precise and free of contraindications. The method is surprising in its simplicity: a thin cotton thread is rolled between the fingers in a spiral and passed with rapid movements over the area to be treated, so as to capture the hair at the base and pull it out up to the follicle. Perfect for eyebrows, threading is also used for the upper lip and the rest of the face.
